I have been working on a portfolio of images of reflections for a few months now. This was the first attempt that I felt was successful. This is an image of an empty store front that used to be a small bicycle shop in downtown Springfield. I noticed the reflection of the buildings in the window of the shop as I passed by, so I stopped to capture an image. I also did quit a bit of work in Lightroom and Photoshop to emphasize certain areas of the image and remove distracting elements in the image. One of the things that makes this image work is the fact that the sore was empty, giving the reflections a clean space to occupy. These images bring up interesting questions of reality, space, dimension and perception.
